An Aycliffe-based hot foil printer has recently scooped three out of the four ‘Foilink 2010 National Awards’ at an exhibition in Worcester.

David Chill, Chairman of the National Foil Printers Club, said,
‘'This year the standard of the entries was very high and we were delighted that the award went to Andy for all his hard work and dedication to the craft. We hope this award will boost his business and lead to greater achievements.’’

Former Northern Echo apprentice, Andy Spark, who runs Aycliffe Hot Foil won the Best Wedding Invite Award, Best Miscellaneous Award and Best Overall Award.
‘’I’m very proud that my work has been recognised by my fellow hot-foilers throughout the country,’’ said Andy, ‘’and gives it me encouragement to produce even better work for next year,’’

The aim of Aycliffe Hot Foil is to promote the many uses and benefits of hot foil printing.

The products presently being foiled range from Wedding Stationery, Business Stationery and Promotional Goods such as 2011 Diaries and Greetings Cards.
